On October 23, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that would repeal key provisions of the Affordable Care Act, including the individual and employer mandates, medical device excise tax, and Cadillac tax on pricey health plans.
The Restoring Americans Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act, which passed on mostly party lines, is similar to the reconciliation measure previously described here.
Of course, if such a bill were also to pass in the U.S. Senate, President Obama has stated that he would veto it.
